The Worcester County Arts Council is seeking applicants for local art projects to be held in Worcester County between July 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026. Organizations holding art projects and activities year-round may request grants which cover the entire fiscal year of July 2026 through the following June of 2027.  

The proposed project must be sponsored or presented by an incorporated Maryland not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization and be open to the public. The grant amount requested must be matched one-for-one by organization funds. Organizations may request up to $5,000 per fiscal year in total grant funding from the WCAC.

The deadline to apply is April 15, 2026.

 The Worcester County Arts Council’s Community Arts Development Grants program is designed to assist local community-based groups to produce and present arts activities in Worcester County and is funded and supported by the Maryland State Arts Council. WCAC aims to support projects throughout all areas of Worcester County. Applications are encouraged from rural, small-town, and geographically underrepresented communities to ensure a balanced reach across the region.

Important Update: The WCAC Grant Guidelines have recently been revised to promote responsible use of public funds and to serve a broad range of the Worcester County community. All applicants are required to review the updated guidelines carefully before applying to ensure compliance.

MINI GRANT REQUESTS ARE NOT TO EXCEED $500.00.

The MINI-GRANT program is intended for the following purposes: 1. To provide funds to a new organization or project that emerges between grant periods and deserves immediate Arts Council support. 2. To provide funds to an established organization or project facing an emergency need or special opportunity between grant periods and outside the specified grant submission deadlines of April 15th or October 15th.
