FEATURED EXHIBITS

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, the Worcester County Arts Council proudly presents Threads of Connections, a special juried exhibition honoring five decades of artistic excellence while exploring the relationships that bind us across communities, generations, cultures, and shared experiences.

This commemorative exhibition invites artists and viewers alike to reflect on the many ways connection shapes our lives. From personal relationships and cultural heritage to the natural world and the unseen forces that link people, places, and ideas, Threads of Connections highlights the power and complexity of human experience through artistic expression.

The theme of this exhibition reflects what has sustained the Arts Council for 50 years: our connections to one another through creativity.

We are honored to welcome local artist and muralist Olga Deshields as juror for the exhibition. Known for her vibrant work and strong ties to the region, Deshields brings a thoughtful and dynamic perspective to the selection process.

The exhibition will be on view from May 1 through June 28, 2026, at the Arts Council Gallery.

LIBRARY GALLERY DISPLAY - MAY 5 TO JULY 7

We are pleased to present a new exhibition at the Berlin Library featuring the work of two talented local artists, Beth Cooper and Joanne Guilfoil. The exhibit will be on view from May 5 through July 7 and showcases a diverse range of artistic styles and media.

Beth Cooper works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and gouache, drawing inspiration from her deep roots in Worcester County. Her paintings reflect the landscapes, shorelines, and farm scenes that define life on the Eastern Shore. Largely self-taught, Beth continues to explore new techniques while celebrating the region’s traditions and natural beauty through her work.

Joanne Guilfoil, trained as both a painter and an art educator, brings a refined and distinctive approach to her work. Working primarily in gouache, her “precision painting” style reflects both technical mastery and a deep appreciation for the natural world.
