2026 SUMMER ARTS CAMP FOR CHILDREN

The Worcester County Arts Council’s Summer Arts Camp was once again a great success this July! This year’s theme, Power Up! Summer Learning Lab, invited young artists to explore the exciting worlds of circuitry, energy, motion, and innovation through hands-on art projects, creative challenges, and collaborative activities.

More than 300 students from five Worcester County elementary schools participated in this engaging arts enrichment program.

Throughout the week, students participated in visual art and music workshops that inspired creativity while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and exploration. Through hands-on activities, they discovered the connections between art, science, technology, and innovation, building confidence, creative skills, and a deeper appreciation for the creative process.

A selection of student artwork created during Summer Arts Camp will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at the Worcester County Arts Council Gallery. Join us to celebrate the creativity and accomplishments of these young artists at the opening reception on September 11 from 4:00–5:00 PM.

The Worcester County Arts Council is grateful for the continued partnership with Worcester County Public Schools and the talented educators who make this program possible. Together, we are able to provide meaningful arts experiences that inspire creativity and support learning for students throughout Worcester County.

A special thank you goes to the Berlin/Ocean City Optimist Club for its support of the youth in our communities.

Thanks to a partnership with the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, 250 Creative Nourishment Art Kits were provided to students participating in the Worcester County Arts Council’s Summer Arts Camp. Designed by artist Randee Exler, these bilingual kits include instructions in English and Spanish, along with all the supplies needed to create an imaginative “Underwater World in Pieces” collage project.

SUMMER ARTS CAMP STUDENTS' WORK WILL BE FEATURED IN OUR GALLERY IN SEPTEMBER!
