THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE

HOLIDAY ART COLLABORATION FOR CHILDREN

The Worcester County Arts Council invites young artists to celebrate the magic of the holiday season through “The Gingerbread House,” a collaborative art project led by artist Jiyeong Yun.

During two fun-filled sessions, children will work together to design and build a large-scale gingerbread house using cardboard, paint, colorful paper, and mixed media.

The project begins with a heartwarming question: “Who would I like to invite into this house?”. Inspired by their answers, children will create special invitations, design decorations, and bring their individual ideas together into one magical work of art.

More than a holiday craft, this hands-on experience encourages imagination, creativity, communication, and teamwork, celebrating the joy of creating something together.

The completed gingerbread house will be exhibited at the WCAC Gallery throughout December, with a special holiday celebration inviting children and their families to admire their masterpiece, enjoy refreshments, and capture festive memories.
