Monica Forrester |

Work Description: Forrester has always enjoyed working with her hands creating sculpture and mixed media artwork.
She became enthralled with clay about five years ago and continues to explore this medium.
Biography: Monica Forrester is a resident of Berlin and the Arts Immersion Coach and Art Teacher at Pocomoke Middle School.
Monica has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Salisbury University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
She works mainly with traditional wheel thrown shapes that she alters by cutting, carving or twisting. She is fascinated with the firing process and through this creates simple, elegant forms with visual and tactile textures.
Recent Work: She is a member of the Eastern Shore Clay Guild and a member of the Board of Directors for the Worcester County Arts Council.
