Studio Location: Mark lives with his wife, Terry in Chance, Maryland on the beautiful Tangier Sound (Chesapeake Bay).
He has a small gallery there which is open by appointment on Saturdays when not doing shows.

Work Description: Mark can take a piece of Wood, Copper or Stainless Steel and turn it into the silhouette of one of God's creatures.
Biography: Mark Pleasanton of Creations In Wood is a self-taught Eastern Shore artist.
He uses mostly salvaged/recycled materials that are resurrected and given new life. He has been carving for about 16 years.
When working with in wood he uses the natural grain of the wood for unique character. He carves mostly fish and nautical pieces.
He has started doing Copper and Stainless Steel dragonflies, butterflies, fish, crabs and seahorses. Each piece is unique and one of a kind. No two are ever exactly alike. He hopes that one day his art will be a full time endeavor with the launching of his website, due to be completed soon.
Teaching-Availability: He has attended some classes at the Ward Museum in Salisbury, Maryland.
