OCEAN PINES PLAYERS TO STAGE “SOCIAL SECURITY”
The delightful adult comedy "Social Security" by Andrew Bergman directed by Edie Brennan is in rehearsals.
The play is the story of a sophisticated Manhattan couple (Dave Miller and Em Hench) who have her 80-year-old mother (Marie Overtoon) dropped on them by their Long Island suburbanite relatives (Herb Steinberg and Gina Ashton).
In a surprising twist, it's the old lady who finds love with a famous 98 -year- old artist (Andy Stasny) in the midst of everyone else's unraveling lives.
The Worcester County Arts Council receives funds from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Worcester County Commissioners on an annual basis, to administer the promotion of the arts in Worcester County, and for redistribution to organizations planning art and cultural events in the County; making the Worcester County Arts Council the local screening agency for making these grants available.
