Community Arts Development (CAD) Grants

The Worcester County Arts Council’s Community Arts Development Grants program is designed to assist local community based groups produce and present arts activities in Worcester County and is funded and supported by the Maryland State Arts Council.

COMMUNITY ARTS DEVELOPMENT (CAD) MINI GRANT APPLICATION


CAD Grant and Mini Grant Final Report Form - due within 30 days after completion of the project.

In FY 2016 the Worcester County Arts Council awarded a total of $25,000 in Community Arts Development Grants program to various art projects and events presented by local nonprofit arts organizations.
Funding supports a wide variety of creative and innovative projects that are of outstanding artistic quality and demonstrate community benefit enhancing the lives of everyone living and visiting the Worcester County.

In FY 2017 (July 1 - December 31, 2016), the Worcester County Arts Council is proud to award $28,650 in Community Arts Development Grants program to 19 art projects and events presented by local nonprofit arts organizations. during the 6 month granting cycle.

Funding supports a wide variety of creative and innovative projects that are of outstanding artistic quality and demonstrate community benefit enhancing the lives of everyone living and visiting the Worcester County. This program is funded and supported by the Maryland State Arts Council.

Grant projects are evaluated based on overall quality of cultural excellence, community outreach and public impact, and financial/administrative merit.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND DEADLINES:

Grant Periods: Grants may be made for projects occurring during the 6-month periods of:
January 1 through June 30 - Deadline to submit: October 15th
July 1 through December 31 - Deadline to submit: April 15th


Organizations which hold projects year-around or in both of the 6-month periods may request grants which cover the entire fiscal year of July through the following June.
Annual grant applications must be submitted by April 15th.
