WCAC Scholarship Program Begins

The Arts Council is offering up to five $1000.00 each art scholarships to graduating seniors who are Worcester County residents interested in pursuing academic careers in the arts.

The Worcester County Arts Council's scholarship program is designed to identify, recognize and encourage talented high school seniors within Worcester County who demonstrate excellence in Dance, Music, Theater, Visual Arts and Media Arts.

Applications deadline: 2 pm, April 1, 2010. Applications must be recieved at the Worcester County Arts Council, 6 Jefferson Street, Berlin, Maryland.

Graduating seniors, who will major in the visual, performing, music or media arts, are encouraged to apply.
Scholarships are also available to college art majors wishing to continue their education in the arts.

This is a merit scholarship and award decisions are based on evaluation of talent, dedication and potential, not financial need.
Applicants are judged on their visual, dramatic or musical presentations in the form of DVD, CD, or pover point recordings.
