Registration deadline is at least one week prior to class start date. Please register as early as possible.
Registration is not considered confirmed until payment has been received.
If the one-week deadline has passed, students may be accepted at the discretion of the instructor.
WCAC reserves the right to cancel a class based on insufficient registrations.
Student will be notified by phone and/or e-mail if there are any scheduling changes or if the class is cancelled. Please include your e-mail address if you use e-mail.
All classes/workshops take place at the WCAC location unless otherwise noted.
Refunds could be granted if student's cancellation was recieved at least 7 days prior class beginning date. There are no refunds for missed classes.

WINTER WATERCOLOR LANDSCAPE

Inspired by work of Paul Cezanne, students will explore various techniques of watercolor to create their own landscape.
GINGERBREAD HOUSE WORKSHOP

Create a whimsical gingerbread house using graham crackers, icing and assorted candies. Perfect for a holiday centerpiece.
POP ART PORTRAITS

PREHISTORIC CLAY POTS
January 7 - 8; 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
Students will be shown images of prehistoric clay pots for inspiration. Using clay students will create and decorate their own pot. Students will be introduced to various clay techniques.
WOOD PANEL PAINTING
January 21 - 22, 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
Inspired by artist Jasper Johns, students will create their own letter or number using acrylic paint on wood. Students will be taught various techniques using acrylics. They will also be introduced to a variety of Johns' works.
KEITH HARING SYMBOLS
February 4 - 5; 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
Inspired by Keith Harings symbols, such as a "radiant baby", students will create their own symbol on a stamp. On the second day of the class, the students will use their stamp to create a print using ink and cray pas.
CHIAROSURO STILL LIFE
February 18 -19; 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
Chiarosuro in art means the contrast for light to dark. Students will be shown a variety of works that represent this technique. Using acrylics on canvas students will create a black and white still life.

PASTEL STILL LIFE
DECEMBER 11TH; 6:30 PM—7:30 PM
This creative introductory class will focus on how to compose a still life painting using pastels.
Participants will explore varies techniques such as shading and blending. This medium is a great
way to create a still life with ease and confidence!
Cost $10. Paper included. Please bring pastels of your choice.
INTRODUCTION TO FIGURE DRAWING
JANUARY 15TH; 6:30 PM—7:30 PM
In this fundamental class participants will draw the figure in various poses and at different time
lengths. Build the confidence in your line drawing and shading using a soft charcoal and create
each drawing into a masterpiece!

JANUARY 29TH; 6:30 PM—7:30 PM
In this introduction to paper making, participants will explore various techniques using pulp to
create a functional piece of paper of their choice or a work of art.

INTRODUCTION TO ACRYLIC
FEBRUARY 12TH; 6:30 PM—7:30 PM
This class is for beginners wanting to learn how to paint. Mixing colors, brush work, texture and
blending will be taught so the student leaves the class with basic skills to paint. A still life
object will be provided in the classroom for the students to paint. Individual expression will be

Using variety of greens, participants will learn how to create a simple wreath. Inspired by the
upcoming spring, box wood, ribbon, moss and birch bark will be provided to create a beautiful
