Meet Robert Knudsen

Work Description:
Oil on canvas

Bob feels a deep connection to the history of Ocean City and Worcester County.

He paints in the Delmarva area as often as possible.

Biography:
Robert Knudsen studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting, graduating magna cum laude.

Mr. Knudsen’s paintings have been selected for inclusion in regional and national juried shows by such esteemed jurors as Ingrid Schaffner of the ICA in Philadelphia, Pa., noted artist and author Bernard Chaet, and Anne Cohen DiPietro of the Heckscher Museum in New York.

His work has appeared in the prestigious publication New American Paintings and most recently, he was featured on the May 8 cover of the Ocean City Dispatch. Robert's work can be found in private collections in the United States and Europe.

Ellen Moyer, mayor of Annapolis has added one of Mr. Knudsen’s Ocean City beach paintings to her collection. He is currently showing in Martha's Vineyard, Annapolis, Ellicott City, Monkton and Baltimore and online at americanpaintingsonline.com.


Recent Work:
Most recently, Bob Knudsen set up shop at the Inlet of Ocean City where he painted the Life-Saving Station Museum there.
