Meet Myrna McGrath

Work Description:
oil, acrylics, and pastels

Biography:
Maryland’s Eastern Shore is both home and a constant source of inspiration for Myrna. For several years she has fully devoted herself to painting a simple, quiet beauty of nature.
Her paintings have won many awards and ribbons at juried and invitational shows and are in collections throughout the United States and abroad.

Myrna is very proud of her decorative maps of the Chesapeake Bay area. The Seventh Edition Map was presented to Madam Jehan el Sadat by Rotary International. The first "Images of our Bay" cups by Salisbury Pewter were her designs. Del W. Ray Huff was presented a print of Chesapeake Bay Lighthouses during his efforts to pass the bill to preserve Maryland's lighthouses.
A watercolor of Solomon's Lump Lighthouse was on exhibit at the State House in Annapolis.

Myrna is a member of many art organizations on the Eastern Shore.

Myrna's work will be featured on the exhibit at the Worcester County Arts Council's Gallery during the month of April. The opening "Meet the Artist" reception will be held on April 9, from 5 - 8 pm.
