Meet Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore

Biography:
The Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore, Salisbury Chapter was founded on September 28, 2005. The Salisbury Chapter was formed when the parent organization the now defunct Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore located in Easton, Maryland grew too large to be practical with members located in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. The Salisbury Chapter was set-up to serve the southern part of the Eastern Shore. The Guild's mission was to promote the ceramic art through clay workshops, exhibitions, and lectures and to provide a forum by which artists could exchange ideas and solve technical problems as related to the ceramic arts. During the spring of 2010 the Guild dropped the Salisbury Chapter from its name.

The Guild membership is open to all artists sharing an interest in the ceramic arts from professionals to hobbyists including studio potters, production potters, clay sculptors, art teachers and students.
Meetings are held bi-monthly at different locations on the lower Eastern Shore.

Recent Work:
The Eastern Shore Clay Guild's work is on the exhibit at the Worcester County Arts Council Gallery during the month of October.
