Meet Ron Michaels
I taught Special Needs Children for 30 years and was always looking for ways to engage them in learning and in looking at things in new and different ways.
I found photography and especially nature shots to be both inspiring as well as therapeutic. As an October Featured Artist, I am happy to donate my “Morning Dew” to the silent auction because the image of ponies bring peace and serenity to the viewer.
I sometimes wait days and months for the right shot. This was particularly true when photographing at the Commercial Docks. I waited for a foggy, misty morning to achieve an impressionistic quality to my work. I never photo shop. I believe in a more natural approach. I enjoy black and white photography as well as color. It depends on my subject as to which style, composition or mood I wish to create.
I feel special and blessed to be retired and living in Ocean City, Maryland. The Eastern Shore is truly a bounty of natural photographic opportunities.
