Juried Art Exhibit at the Arts Council
I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park where I studied commercial art. I had worked in various mediums including oil, pastels, colored pencils and charcoal, but my favorite medium is watercolor.
I studied art under Willie Crocket, Diana Davis, Nancy Ellen Thompson and Doris Glovier.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, I retired in 2005 to the Eastern Shore of Virginia where I live in Captain's Cove in Greenbackville, VA. I am currently a member of the Captain's Cove Arts and Crafts League as well as the Worcester County Arts Council in Berlin, MD.
I am constantly inspired by colors that capture my attention. Eastern Shore has an abundance of interesting sites and colors that I am drawn to and I never run out of the ideas for my next painting.
My artwork represents what I see and feel at the moment: from peaceful landscapes to whimsical moods.
RECENT WORK: Most recently, I won second place at the Worcester County Arts Council’s juried show with my watercolor painting, "Powell Creek Storm".
Additionally, I exhibited my work at the Red Queen Gallery (Onancock), the Delmarva Discovery Center (Pocomoke City), the Hermitage Senior Center (Onancock), and Captain's Cove Taste of Art and Wine Show.
